This uplifting and humorous musical tells the true story of a group of remarkable women who, after the death of one of their husbands, decide to create an unconventional charity calendar. Filled with catchy songs, dazzling choreography, and a cast full of heart, Calendar Girls celebrates the power of friendship, courage, and defying expectations.

THE VOICE OF OUR MEMBERS

“I joined the York Musical Theatre Company in 2015 and had the opportunity to sing at The Barbican York during the Festival of Remembrance and I decided to stay on and perform in the Christmas concerts.  I went on to audition for Happy & Glorious, a production celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday. Some of my favourite shows I’ve had the privilege to perform in include Acorn Antiques in 2016 and Jesus Christ Superstar. In more recent years, I’ve also helped backstage with costumes for productions like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Wizard of Oz. I’m an active member of the York Musical Theatre Company choir and am very much looking forward to performing with them this Christmas.”
