Our introduction afternoon was a wonderful chance to meet new faces, reconnect with familiar ones, and set the tone for what promises to be a joyous, moving, and very British production. Guests had the chance to learn more about the musical, get a sneak peek at what’s to come, and soak up that unmistakable community theatre buzz. 🌻
The Victoria Sponge Contest – A Right Royal Treat!
One of the afternoon’s highlights was our Victoria Sponge Contest, celebrating the classic WI baking tradition. A big shoutout to our marvellous bakers Alison, Amy and Suzanne, who wowed us all with their beautifully baked entries.
The competition was judged by none other than the Lord Mayor of York – adding a touch of civic splendour to the event. The standard was sky-high, but in the end, it was Alison who rose to the occasion and took the crown for Star Baker! 🎂🏆
A Community Celebration with Heart (and Cake)
Events like these remind us just how special community theatre can be — bringing people together to celebrate talent, creativity, and connection. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead.
